INTRODUCTION

The Dunman High School Chinese Orchestra Senior High Section was established in 2007 when a few passionate CO members from the pioneer batch of students in Dunman High's Integrated Programme decided to stay on with DHSCO. We are now into the 2nd year of establishment and although the orchestra may be small in size, we're definitely large in spirit and passion for DHSCOSH! :)) Catch us perform together with the DHSCO Junior High Section in our annual concert held at the Victoria Concert Hall in Spring 2009!

Gold with Honours

A big 'Thank You! (:' to these people who made it possible. This award goes out to all of you!
-Our beloved conductor 郭老师 for always making time to come down for orchestra practices even though he's so busy! And also for putting up with us, inspiring us musically and in the realm of life :D
-Music instructors 郑老师, Shangyin teachers
-Teacher(s)-in-charge, especially Mr. Ng who always finds time to come down for our practices amidst busy schedule and for believing in us!
-Seniors for always coming back to give us support! And for turning up on the day itself to show support (:
-Juniors who supported us! Thank you for the gifts and messages! (:

Most importantly, the 69-strong orchestra was what made it the most possible. 少了一个，感觉就不一样了。To those who only joined us this year or even those who only decided to join us just weeks before SYF: 谢谢! 辛苦你们了! To the rest of the orchestra (especially the soloists!): 辛苦大家了!

However, we should not feel complacent over being awarded 'GWH' as the more important thing about being in CO is learning about music and vital life values. Taking part in SYF and clinching the GWH award is only an affirmation and recognition of our music and of our abilities. To the junior batches: I hope that you all will take DHSCO to greater heights, all for the music and not for the award. Only when real music is played with your heart and emotions will you be rewarded naturally.

It's only the beginning of a new legacy...德明政府中学华乐团（高中部）! :D

Calling seniorhigh people with photos of Malaysia Trip 2009

Hey peeps, it has been about a week since we've returned from the FUN AND EXCITING Malaysia Trip and I'm sure all of your FABULOUS photos are already uploaded onto your computer. :)

SO, to keep this blog alive and to keep the GREAT MEMORIES we had from the trip, I'm appealing to all senior high people who went on the trip and have photos of seniorhigh peeps or the alumni, or better yet, the teachers in them, to upload them onto our very own photobucket account! Yes, we do have a photobucket account where the uploaded photos can be downloaded and shared with the rest of the seniorhigh people who're in the photos YOU HAVE but didn't bring their own camera.

So share your photos yeah! I'm dying to see the one where Mr. Tay fed Keewei! I bet you want to see it too, right! :D

If your photo has juniorhigh CO members in them, it's fine. As long as they feature seniorhigh CO members, just upload them into our photobucket! :) So start uploading them now!

To start off, we have the games!

Thanks to all those who brainstormed for ideas for games, who came back to school on several occasions for dry runs, who helped to contribute those logistics etc etc!

Those who held the camera - Suyun KeeWei etc. Keewei for solo-ing and rushing out the editing! Those who stayed back to accompany them film until so late!
